tola

Tola is my middle name and I use it as a short alias on the Internet.

The name has various meanings:

• Sanskrit (tulā) meaning "a balance", used in Yoga
• Hindi (tolā) a traditional Indian unit of mass, commonly used for gold and hashish
• Hebrew (תּוֹלָע) meaning "worm", "grub", "scarlet".
• Irish (tóla) meaning "abundance" or "flood"
• Portugese (tolo) meaning "fool"
• Polish meaning "priceless", "prospering"
• Khmer meaning "October"

Tola was one of the Judges of Israel in the Bible, which is where my parents got the name from.
